Equipment

  • Ninja Crockpot Or Any Slow Cooker
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • Measuring spoons
  • Stirring Spoon

Ingredients

  • 4 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts (About 1.5 Pounds)
  • 1 Cup Chicken Broth
  • 1 Medium Onion Chopped
  • 2 Cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 Cup Baby Carrots Optional
  • 1 Cup Frozen Peas Optional

Instructions

Prepare Your Chicken:

  • Place the boneless chicken breasts at the bottom of your ninja crockpot. They should be in a single layer to ensure they cook evenly.

Add The Aromatics:

  • Sprinkle the chopped onions and minced garlic over the chicken. I always love how these ingredients start to fill the kitchen with a warm, inviting aroma as they cook.

Season It Up:

  • Season the chicken with dried thyme, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. These seasonings add depth and flavor, making the chicken incredibly tasty.

Add The Liquids:

  • Pour the chicken broth over the chicken breasts. The liquid helps keep the chicken moist and tender as it cooks, creating a delicious sauce as it simmers.

Optional Veggies:

  • If you’d like to add some extra flavor and nutrition, toss in the baby carrots and frozen peas. The slow cooking process helps the vegetables become tender and infused with the flavors of the chicken and broth.

Cook:

  • Cover the croc k pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or on high for 2-3 hours. You’ll know the chicken is ready when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 °f (75 °c) and is tender enough to shred easily with a fork.

Shred And Serve:

  • Once the chicken is done, use two forks to shred the meat right in the crock pot. Stir everything together, and the sauce will coat the chicken and vegetables beautifully.
