  • Casserole dish or deep baking pan
  • Grill pan (optional)
  • Meat thermometer

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 lb. lump crab meat
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 3/4 cup crushed Ritz crackers
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon seafood seasoning such as Old Bay
  • 3/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • Flour seasoned with seafood seasoning
  • Melted butter

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season generously with Old Bay seasoning on both sides.
  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375° F (190° C) and lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  • Sear the Chicken: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add a little oil or butter, and sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  • Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, lemon juice, garlic (minced), and a pinch of Old Bay seasoning.
  • Assemble the Dish: Place the seared chicken in the prepared baking dish. Pour the butter-lemon sauce evenly over the chicken.

  • Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley or a lemon wedge, and serve warm with your favorite sides. Enjoy!

Notes

1. Enhance the Flavor: Marinating the chicken in a mix of Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice, and a splash of olive oil for at least 30 minutes infuses it with bold Chesapeake-inspired flavors.
2. Perfect Pairings: Serve this Chesapeake Chicken recipe with classic sides like creamy coleslaw, corn on the cob, or roasted potatoes to complement the savory, spiced chicken.
3. Adjust the Heat: If you like a kick of spice, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce to the seasoning mix for an extra burst of heat.
