Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups Cheez It crackers finely crushed
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • Cooking spray or a light drizzle of oil

Instructions
 

  • Set oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil and lightly grease it with cooking spray. Alternatively, place a wire rack on the baking sheet for crispier results.
  • Bowl 1 (Flour) Mix the flour with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Bowl 2 (Egg Mixture) Whisk together eggs, buttermilk, and sour cream until smooth. Bowl 3 (Crust) Add finely crushed Cheez It crackers.
  • If the chicken breasts are thick, consider pounding them slightly to even thickness for even cooking.
  • Dredge each chicken breast in the seasoned flour, coating completely. Dip into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off. Press firmly into the Cheez-It crumbs to coat all sides thoroughly.
  • Arrange the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray to help them crisp. Bake in the preheated oven for 22–25 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy hot with your favorite dipping sauce or a side of vegetables.
