Equipment

  • Crockpot (slow cooker),
  • Mixing bowl
  • spoon, knife,
  • Measuring cups
  • spoons.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce or your favorite store-bought alternative
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish optional

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken

  • Start by trimming any excess fat from the chicken breasts. You can use boneless, skinless chicken breasts for this recipe, and if you don’t have fresh chicken, frozen chicken breasts work just as well. If you’re using frozen, no need to thaw before cooking!

Season the Chicken

  • Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried basil. This ensures that every bite is packed with flavor.

Make the Parmesan Garlic Sauce

  • In a separate bowl, combine the Buffalo Wild Wings Parmesan Garlic Sauce, heavy cream, and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix everything together until smooth. This creamy sauce will be the perfect coat for the chicken while it slow cooks.

Add Chicken to the Crockpot

  • Pour a tablespoon of olive oil into the bottom of your crockpot to prevent sticking. Then, place the seasoned chicken breasts into the crockpot.

Pour the Sauce Over the Chicken

  • Once the chicken is in the crockpot, pour the Parmesan garlic sauce mixture over the chicken, ensuring it’s fully coated. Use a spoon to spread the sauce evenly.

Slow Cook the Chicken

  • Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours. The chicken will become incredibly tender and absorb all the rich flavors of the sauce.

Shred and Serve

  • Once the chicken is fully cooked, use two forks to shred it directly in the crockpot. Mix the shredded chicken with the sauce to ensure every piece is well-coated.

Notes

This dish is super versatile, and you can adjust the sauce to your liking. If you prefer a thicker sauce, you can simmer it on the stovetop for a few minutes to reduce it before serving. Alternatively, if you want a lighter sauce, feel free to add a bit more cream or use less sauce.
